I love you, World Wide Web

If we listen to the news networks, we'd believe that the web is consists primarily of pornography sites, chat rooms full of child predators, and misinformation on Wikipedia. All those bad things are out there and many more. There is no denying it.

Those who know the web best know that with all the content on the web taken together, the larger percent of the internet is perfectly acceptable to most people.

Of the non-objectionable stuff, beauty is in the eye of the web-surfer.

Since I have begun blogging in earnest, I have found some of the most worthwhile content I've ever seen online. Much of the best stuff is created by my fellow bloggers. These are dedicated, intelligent private individuals creating sites and articles that often rival anything professionally created in quality.

This is the power of the internet; potential that has only begun to be tapped. Anyone with a computer and web connection can self-publish. Anyone else with a computer and web connection can find that content. Once found, it is possible to instantly connect with the author. Conversations and relationships can bloom out of this interaction with no middle man.

Nearly every day, I read a wide range of of blogs and websites in my effort to network on behalf of my personal blog. Often other bloggers provide the links to a new blog, web site, or service. I am so excited about about my new discoveries that I feel the need to share them with other web junkies.

In order to showcase all those wonderful things, I have created this blog especially to provide recommendations, reviews, and all important link love to the web things that interest and excite this blogger.

Thank you. Pass those glasses around, would you.

Funny thing with the design is that I originally was looking at a black and read layout with a semi-creepy window/spider web picture.

When I ran across the images I used, I feel in love. Plus, they matched this template perfectly. All I did was change the header picture and add the spider.
