The vintage children's book illustrations look sweet. They are charming reminders of more innocent times.

But, the nostalgia holds only if you don't read the text. Each caption is inspired by the picture exposed to the darker side of the human soul.

It comes as no surprise the blogger behind My First Dictionary, Ross Horsley, describes him self as a "timid librarian by day... Frenzied fan of gory slasher movies by night." Why else would he see these darling children as Zombies?


Okay, they do look like zombies.
